Checkout Practice is a free tool for darts players who want to get better at finishing. It started with a simple problem: I'm a newer player who kept forgetting checkouts, and I learn best by seeing things rather than memorising lists. So I built a board I could click through to see the route for myself.
At first it only ran on my own machine, purely for me. Then I realised plenty of other players, especially beginners, struggle with the same thing: remembering finishes and doing the counting under pressure. So I made it public for anyone who wants it.
The idea is simple: pick a score, throw at the board, and learn the route until it's automatic. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and nothing to install.
Who runs it
Checkout Practice is built and run by Orbe Software, a software developer who started playing darts in July 2025. Because I'm still learning the game myself, I built this for the way a beginner actually needs to learn.
Where the checkout routes come from
The routes follow commonly published checkout charts used by professional players. Where several routes exist, we show one widely used option.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. It's supported by advertising and by optional tips through Ko-fi. Some links to dart equipment are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. See our privacy policy for details.
